This project will provide critical information on contraceptive access and use and factors that promote sexual and reproductive health among youth with child welfare involvement – a vastly understudied topic and population. The study will use secondary data from a multi-wave survey of youth, between the ages 12 and 18 with child welfare involvement, to provide basic information on contraceptive access and use across adolescence, identify modifiable factors that promote reproductive agency and autonomy, and clarify differences by demographic and child welfare characteristics – key factors for service delivery in child welfare settings.
