Valentina is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research interests focus on migration and environmental sociology, with a particular emphasis on Environmental Justice (EJ) communities. She is particularly interested in understanding how immigrant communities are affected by environmental hazards and how immigration status shapes these experiences. Valentina is passionate about qualitative methods and Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR). She holds a master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado Denver.
