Ph.D. Student, Political Science, University of Colorado Boulder

I am a Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in political economy, public policy, and legislative behavior. My research examines how party systems and institutional contexts shape economic policymaking in India, with a particular focus on tax policy, federalism, and public finance. I use computational text analysis—including topic modeling, sentiment analysis, and supervised classification—to study how national and regional political actors frame economic and policy issues during parliamentary debates. My broader interests include coalition politics, policy responsiveness, and the role of political institutions in shaping public service delivery in developing democracies.
