Fernando Riosmena is Professor of Sociology and Demography at the University of Texas – San Antonio and longtime CUPC affiliate after working at CU for 15 years prior to his joining UTSA. His research and scholarship aim at improving analytical strategies to measure populations and population processes; examining the social, economic, environmental, and policy drivers of international migration; the theories and analytical strategies used to understand migration dynamics; and on the measurement and explanation of race-ethnic and gender disparities in wellbeing.
