Transportation networks are critical drivers of social and economic change, and Dr. Taylor Jaworski integrates these economic historical processes into demographic research. Jaworski is an Assistant Professor of Economics at CU Boulder and CUPC’s newest faculty affiliate. As a central member of CUPC’s “Tiny Town” team, Jaworski contributes to documenting change in rural America throughout since 1940. With an emphasis on large-scale infrastructure projects, his work contributes to a growing literature using new data and measurements to understand infrastructure-driven shifts in costs of trade and migration and the resulting impacts on community and individual well-being.
